I went to the other room to get a ruler. 30 minutes later.. I don’t know where the ruler is anymore but I managed to redecorate my walls.
Wahh. I just told my mom about my prom date (2 weeks later..) Kinda awkward. She doesn’t really understand prom, she thinks you need a boy to invite you in order to be able to go. And when she started asking about my other friends and I told her how they don’t have dates, she was like “What’s wrong with the boys at your school?”. She also started asking about my date but I couldn’t answer her questions because I barely know him…

I don’t even know why I still have your texts saved on my phone. Everyone started going on their phone during dinner so I decided to randomly scroll through my inbox. My friend happened to look over when I got to your messages. Awkward.
Field trip to SF MOMA today! The picture above was my favorite piece. The drawing is called Narkissos: The Last Translation by Jess, done in pencil on paper and paste-up. This picture doesn’t do the drawing any justice because there were so many tiny details in it, it took 15 years to create. I could spend hours looking at it and I’d find something new to look at each time.
We didn’t have a tour and just wandered off on our own in the museum for about 3 hours. I left my friends to explore the museum by myself, which was a good idea because they didn’t seem as serious or interested about the art as I was. It was difficult attempting to interpret the pieces on my own, but it was fun learning about artists and then seeing their actual work in person. There was one lady who was practically crying when she saw a certain piece. She seemed very knowledgeable in art so I talked to her about another piece I was confused about. It was really exciting to share the same thoughts and whatnot. It was also nice looking at the work I saw when I visited last year. Visiting MOMA is just such an exciting experience for me. Can’t wait for the next time I go there.
